Music
Ever since I was a kid I’ve been traveling the world with my Australian mom and New Zealand dad. I come from a musical family who were a band before I was even born. I played my first professional gig as a six year old in a Little House on the Prairie style dress while staring at the stage floor.
Since then I’ve had the great pleasure of performing with Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Michael McDonald, Five for Fighting, Kylie Minogue and many others. I released my debut album somewhere between starving & stardom in 2005.
In 2005 I began a podcast to feature the great, unknown, independent, musical artists I was meeting in clubs as I toured the world. In 2008 The Highway Girl launched as a weekly Internet TV show with musical guest Aimee Mann and Wordpress Founder Matt Mullenweg.
Travel
Over the years I’ve experienced just how challenging it can be to travel. I’ve learned tricks to stay healthy and sane while conquering this great big world of ours.
Whether you’re trying to find a great place to eat in Boston, the best boutiques in San Francisco or the best live music venue in Nashville, I’m here to share my insider tips with you!
Style
I also know when it comes to travel we need clothing and accessories that we can toss in a bag that won’t wrinkle or end up in a ball.
I’ve created sexy, comfortable, wrinkle-free dresses that will make you look like a million bucks and travel accessories that will make even the most hardened road warrior feel at home on a tour bus, in a hotel room or on a cruise ship.
I’ve also invited some amazing designer friends to join us and bring their essential travel creations to The Highway Girl. I hope you enjoy the TV show, the music and the clothes. Drop me a line and share your thoughts!
The Highway Girl… it’s about the journey!
